$15M Hospital Soon to Rise in Iloilo City
Iloilo will soon have a new medical facility to serve the growing health needs of the Ilonggos. Representatives from an investment conglomerate based in Oregon, USA visited the city to initiate the intent of putting a hospital here.
The proposed multi-million hospital will be located at a more than 1-hectare lot in Brgy. Buhang-Balantang area in Jaro district.
This was announced by no other than Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog. Sueng Ho Park, managing director of the Park Medical Center in Oregon which has an office in Seoul, South Korea and Floyd E. Holcom, principal and senior project director of the IBIS Group LLC (Oregon, USA), visited the mayor’s office to discuss the details of the planned medical center.
The ground breaking is scheduled in May this year.
A total of more than $15 million, or about P660 million budget will be poured in to the construction and procurement of the medical facilities.
People from the northern part of the city and province will be the primary beneficiaries once the medical center is operational.
