2009 has been a good year for businesses in Iloilo, various new shops and dining destinations opened doors. Most of them located in the malls and some played stand-alone. Below are the new updates to be added in the lists of proposed and newly opened shops and restaurants in the city as 2009 wraps up.
Grillhaus, Carlitos
Carlitos has opened its first branch in Pavia, Iloilo along the road going to Iloilo International Airport. And now they expanded another branch in Jaro, near the plaza beside Coffee Break.
Los Papas Restaurant Steak Bar and Grill
The newly opened al fresco restaurant is located along Yulo Drive, Villa Arevalo, Iloilo City.

Yes will definitely open a branch in Iloilo. Supposedly they are opening the first Starbucks in Western Visayas in Iloilo but due to some reasons when Amigo have to choose between Starbucks and Bluejays but the latter won its current location now.
Plazuela de Iloilo is opening on 10-10-10 (October 10, 2010) and the construction is in full swing right now thinking they have to build several buildings as per the renderings.

No. Starbucks would have opened its first branch in Amigo but it didn’t because the supposed location is now occupied by Bluejays so they opened in Bacolod (stand alone in Lacson St.)
+The new mall Plazuela de Iloilo will be occupied by BPOs and retail stores with coffee shops and restaurants of course.
+Krystal Ice did not survive the tough competition in SM City.Their location is now occupied by Goldilocks.
