WOW! The heat is on!!!Tani this kind of momentum will keep on commin’ and being realized! You know what, Junn, the area that I would like the city of Iloilo to develop on, is the Fort San Pedro and vicinity area! Such a vast area of real estate just sittin’ idle! Tani may investors kag willing ang city to relocate all those squatters… such a big potential . Ah… my dream, my dream! I don’t want to wake up…hahfor a huge convention centre, businesses and mall strip just like Florete’s planaha!

We share the same sentiments Lee.The historic Fort San Pedro badly needs renovation/reconstruction. The area is really a great potential for resto strips and hotels. Overseeing Guimaras from the area is really a relaxing one.Anyway, their are still government projects discussed during the investment forum, will post them soon as I get hold of the details.

whats with the new construction beside SM City? How big is it? will it be an annex or just a mall strip to accomodate alfresco dining? will starbucks finally come? have not seen that construction area since im working in manila, thnx! mabuhay po kau!

  • http://junnjunmendoza.com Junnjun Mendoza

It is the 3-storey annex of SM CIty Iloilo, called the “SM City Garden”. The ground level would be a lane of at least 4 coffee shops, I think starbucks is one of the confirmed tenants of the strip. The upper 2 floors im not certain yet but some said would be a location for BPOs. Will post details and pictures here as soon as the annex’s done construction. They are now on the second floor.

thanks for the info, someone also confirmed to me that one of the tenant is sturbucks. then if only 4 coffee shops would occupy the ground floor then a BPO on the third, i think its more like a cyber/techno building than a mall, il wait for your post. thanks
