Bluejay Coffee was born out of passion and concern: Passion for coffee and concern for a developing city that was and still is in need of top-rank establishments befitting its progressing status. Its first shop was established in Smallville Complex in the night life center of Iloilo but later closed shop when the complex started to add an al fresco in the front which covered the shops underneath. A branch in General Luna St. and Amigo Mall was also opened.
Bluejay took the usual coffee experience to a higher notch by adding extensive offerings in their menu. They serve from variety of coffee and non- coffee based concoctions, sandwiches, cakes and desserts, sausages, steaks to a comprehensive selection of fine wines. All of these coupled with elegant interiors and lightings made Bluejay a posh hang out place for the Ilonggos.
Despite the classy look and quality ingredients of their products, Bluejay still manages to keep their prices low. They can even compete on a price head on with other local known coffee shops here. And this is somehow a common misconception of the shop, they are classy and expensive when perhaps you can have a cappuccino at almost similar price with the rest at a hipper and more sophisticated venue. Most of their patrons are professionals and students. Students who either need a place to study or to hang out after a day of exams enjoy a 10 percent discount with a valid ID. Free Wifi is also available with a minimum purchase of P150.00. The Wifi can be shared and can be used all-day long unlike with the other coffee shops that give only free browsing for 1 hour and you need to order again to avail another hour.
