Everyone’s impression of Bluejay is that it is yet another high-end coffee shop serving great meals at a relatively skyscraping prices. Yes, it’s true! They do have great meals that are priced high but just that right as they are using premium ingredients on it. Surprisingly, this July Bluejay Coffee and Deli is featuring their first ever Easy-On-The-Pocket meals. These are mass based meals in which a part of their move to capture every Ilonggo market.
Presenting Bluejay Coffee and Deli’s big on the stomach, easy on the pocket must-try meals: Chef Burger, Baked Penne and Checkered Toast.
Chef Burger
This is a must-try meal for every burger-lover. Looked like your ordinary burger but way better than those in Jollibee and other fastfood restaurants I’ve tasted. It has a thick and juicy meat patty grilled into perfection that made it crispy on the outside and real juicy on the inside. They are using local meat patty (Bluejay uses imported US meat patties in all of their premium burgers) so to lower the price but it tastes good than what I expected. Sandwiched atop the juicy patty is an oozing special dressing garnished with tomato and lettuce. This burger meal is quite heavy on the stomach and it comes with a big iced tea but startlingly it is priced only at P49.
Baked Penne
Personally, I’m always a fan of baked pasta if made well especially Lasagna and so this dish is an instant favorite for me. It is made of Penne pasta baked in rich Bechamel sauce topped with creamy cheese sauce. It is so yummy, creamy and served grossly than what you can get at the same price range in any other restaurants. Surely, everytime I’m at Bluejay this new addition to their menu would always be on my top list. Baked Penne is available at P88 exclusive of drinks.
Checkered Toast

Everytime I crave for a buttered toast I usually go to Kopi Roti but now with the addition of the Checkered Toast at Bluejay’s menu, surely I’ll be having a hard time deciding where to fix my cravings. Bluejay’s Checkered Toast is not just your run-of-the-mill toast. It is made of a steamed loaf topped with house specialty made Chocolate and Caramel condiments forming a checkered pattern. It is affordable at only P30 a piece, perfect for dessert. You also have a choice whether to have it with Bluejay’s Café Americano, which is perfectly matched at P80. Try not to add sugar to your coffee and take a sip while the toast melts in your mouth, you can savor a unique mouthwatering blend that will make you shiver.
