An innate passion and care for the environment fueled Anna Meloto-Wilk to come up with a very brilliant idea of creating organic products that are pro-Philippines, pro-poor and pro-environment. Wilk is the daughter of Tony Meloto the founder of the Gawad Kalinga (GK). Together with her sister Camille Meloto they founded Gandang Kalikasan Inc. and Human Heart Nature.
Organic products are made and processed completely of organic and raw materials naturally found in nature. Putting in some fruit extracts to a shampoo does not make it “organic”. Hence organic products has been proven of so many advantages to human and the environment. You might have dandruff that not even the newest technology of hair shampoos did not eradicate it completely its because of the chemicals contained in those products. So if organic products are so good, why don’t more people buy them? Its because most organic products are so expensive than the ordinary products found in the shelves that only few can afford to buy them. The advocacy of Gandang Kalikasan Inc., is to produce quality Philippine-made organic products to the Filipinos and the rest of the world at the lowest price. You might ask why the prices are relatively low than other organic products in the market? Simply because they cut on the usual high profit margins.
The ingredients used to produce these world class Philippine organic products are sourced from the organic farmers in the Philippines who are able to produce to international standards. So every product you buy is directly supporting our country already. And Gandang Kalikasan Inc., is working hand in hand with Gawad Kalinga that as soon as GK villages are capable of producing the ingredients to the highest standards, they will equip and empower them to grow and process what needed for the Human Nature range.

I wish they could export these organic products to other parts of the world, especially sa US and Canada. I think they will fair against other name brand products. Albeit it will take time for people to catch on to the brand.This is the chance for Gandang Kalikasan to share the market of organic beauty products. But, they have to do vigorous marketing for their products to compete globally. The Philippines is a good place to start off for that purpose.
Right now they do offer worldwide delivery through FedEx, but it is a bit costly. Surely soon they will export these products to the international market…
