Owned by Mr. George Que, Iloilo Supermart is a common name to the Ilonggos when it comes to groceries, not only that they have a comparably lower prices than their competitors, also they have the most complete lines of merchandise, not to mention they have very accessible locations all over the city.
This year’s fireworks display competition held at the Capitol Grounds last December 18, 2009 is a true manifestation of the Ilonggos patronizing Iloilo Supermart with vast crowds swamping the Gen. Luna – Bonifacio Drive intersection to witness the spectacular event. Dubbed as Pyro Musical Showdown 2009, the event has 3 contestants, 2 of them from Manila and one from Bacolod. Each participating team decorated the skies with glittering pyrotechnics for minutes with accompanying music that wowed the spectators.
It was announced that they are planning in next year’s showdown to be a full blast and promised to give more spectacles in the event, marking the 2009 edition as the first fireworks showdown with musical accompaniment in its series.
