Iloilo’s local and homegrown businesses especially in the food and beverage industries have been conquering the whole Philippines for years now. To name a few are: Mang Inasal, Waffle Time, Ted’s Lapaz Batchoy, Marina Seafood Restaurant, Freska and a lot more including the new venture of Coffee Break. Last last September 8, 2009 Coffee Break opened its first branch in Metro Manila located in SM Fairview in Quezon City. This is really a good move for Coffee Break to set foot on the country’s capital and let them taste the Ilonggo way of serving coffee. Coffee Break abounds all over Iloilo City and has gained popularity among Ilonggo coffee lover and has a big share in the coffee market of the city.

After the groundbreaking opening at SM Fairview, there are two more stores opening this year that will be located in Waltermart, North EDSA and SM Cubao respectively. With the bullish expansion of Coffee Break, I’m sure they will capture the tastebuds of coffee and frappe buffs not only in Iloilo and Metro Manila but in the entire country. Looking forward for more Ilonggo brands making wave in the market.

Way to go, mga Ilonggo! Let the whole country know that we excel in the food and beverage industry. Pero do it cautiously, hinay-hinay lang!
