J.CO Donuts and Coffee soon to open at SM City Iloilo
J.CO Donuts & Coffee is opening soon at SM City Iloilo. The premium donut company which originated from Indonesia is recently making waves in the Philippines. It has captured the taste buds of the Filipinos with its unique and uber-sweet donut creations.
Popular among the Filipinos are J.CO’s Alcapone as well as Avocado-based donuts and coffee concoctions.
The company has currently established eighteen stores across the country, four of which are provincial branches located in Pampanga, Cavite, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos.
J.CO will occupy the former location of Stavros Kebab & Mediterranean restaurant beside Starbucks at the Southpoint building of SM City Iloilo. Store construction is currently on going and is expected to open by June 16, 2014.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts & Coffee, J.CO’s fiercest competitor in the gourmet donut segment is also opening a store in the former space of Red Ribbon at the main building of SM City Iloilo. It is scheduled to open in May 2014, a month ahead of J.CO.
Ilonggo billionaire businessman Edgar “Injap” Sia of the Mang Inasal fame is a part owner of the company that holds the exclusive franchise for J.CO in the Philippines. Sia’s DoubleDragon Properties also owns the currently under-construction 21-storey Injap Tower Hotel just across SM City Iloilo.
