After a major facelift on the interiors and exteriors of
Amigo Plaza Mall in downtown area it had been rumored that it will be hosting some international and high end brands such Marks and Spencer. But this does not hold true when it soft launched late last year. Local shops and boutiques flooded its area that made it almost the same as it was before just adding the new and cleaner look of it. But last Friday, May 8, 2009
Gibi Shoes under the Stefano Footwear Corporation opened it’s branch in Amigo together with its
Timberland store. SFC stands out as a major player in the Philippine footwear industry. It caters to all segments of society, crossing all demographic barriers and provides comfort to millions of men’s, ladies’ and specially, children’s foot. They are also the exclusive distributor of Timberland products in the Philippines which greatly compliments with its product lines.
TImberland is an internationally known brand of rugged, outdoor-tested, environmentally-conscious gear for men, women and kids. This newest addition to Amigo must be the start of other national and international brands opening shop in this mall. Soon to open also is the Bluejay’s Cafe and Deli, construction is going on. The second floor is reserved for a BPO and it is a PEZA accredited IT site which means any IT – based company interested in putting up business in PEZA sites will be given incentives. Among the PEZA accredited IT buildings in the city are Gaisano Mall Lapaz, SM City
Iloilo – Manduariao, and Robinsons Place Iloilo.
