Porma Balas is one of the longest running event in summer along the Villa Beach in Iloilo City. This is a sand sculpture competition organized by Rotary and Rotaract Club of Iloilo held in front of Breakthrough Restaurant. The gray sand beach in this area is turned into a sculpture gallery during the summer every year where known sculpture gathers to try their best in creating intricate carvings using only the sand.
Below are the photos during the 2010 Porma Balas Competition at Villa, Iloilo City.

Hi,
I was searching for some images regarding sand sculpture and I happened to stumble upon ur website. I would like to post a sample to my currently posted topic in our social forum in Qatar (http://www.qatarliving.com/node/1030287), however, I need your permission. If you allow me, then I’d really appreciate it very much. For your kind info,my group is organizing an event here to promote a famous beach in Qatar and our target spectators are not only Filipinos but also some locals & foreign expats here. Our objective is to let the other natinalities experience how we celebrate summer by the beach.
Anyway, I hope you will consider my request.
thanks,
Nica
