Fotoshoot 2009 at Villa Rosa by the Sea Resort and Spa was really successful held last August 15, 2009. At most 100 photographers and 40 models graced the event, taking pictures of the sky, sea, sand, beach and resort.
The photographers were composed of professionals from Photo Artists League of Iloilo (PALI), PALI students, amateurs and campus photographers from 7 different schools in Iloilo City. The models were composed of professional ramp models, campus beauties and as well as amateurs who wish to try print modeling and explore the modeling world. Even kids tried their luck in posing for Cream dela Creme Magazine, Panay News, The Daily Guardian and gigsilonggo.com.
The gardens of Villa Rosa were enhanced with garden accessories by Romarland Marquillero’s Pottery. The fountains, dwarves, and ornaments added beauty to the serene resort. Thisideup band gave a soothing entertainment to all as they ate their lunch in the Tigbauan Hall of the resort which can accommodate up to 200 seated guest if extended to the garden area.
Being new to the photography craft I tried myself to join the event as a participant to learn more ang gain experience. It was kinda hard to take your best shots of the models because you are competing positions with other photographers. Nevertheless I tried to find my place to shoot those lovely models posing at their best and here are some of my shots using my Point & Shoot gear. Wishing I can buy myself a decent DSLR camera sooner.
See you at the unveiling of photo exhibits on Aug 23, 2009, 2pm at Robinson’s Place Iloilo, 2nd floor Market Bazaar. Deadline of submission is on August 19, Wednesday, 5pm at All Seasons travel Agency inside Sarabia Manor Hotel Compound.
The exhibit will run through from Aug 23-29, 2009.
