Soon to rise: Robinsons Place Roxas (Capiz)

The rumored entry of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) in Roxas City is finally confirmed. Last April 15, 2012, RLC held the ground breaking ceremony of its first mall development project in Capiz at a 75,000 square meters property inside Pueblo de Panay, a prime residential and commercial development in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

The only full-service mall operating in Roxas City right now is a Gaisano Mall located along Arnaldo Boulevard.

Robinsons Place Roxas is expected to open by the third quarter of 2013.

The provincial government of Capiz is also planning to relocate the congested Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, while the city government will also relocate its jeepney and bus terminals at Pueblo de Panay. The new Roxas City police station will also rise there soon.

RLC’s commercial centers portfolio in the Visayas includes: Robinsons Place Bacolod, Robinsons Cybergate Bacolod, Robinsons Place Iloilo, Robinsons Fuente Osmeña Cebu, Robinsons Cybergate Cebu, Robinsons Place Dumaguete, and Robinsons Place Tacloban.

Also expected to open within the next three months are Robinsons Place Palawan and Robinsons Magnolia.

The property developer now has a total of 30 malls all over the country with the recent opening of Robinsons Place Pangasinan.
