Soon To Rise: University Physicians Medical Center – Iloilo

University Physicians Medical Center, a new hospital facility will soon rise in Iloilo City. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between University Physicians Medical Center (UPMC) and Panay Medical Ventures, Inc. (PMVI) took place last November 11, 2011 to establish UPMC – Iloilo.

The UPMC-Iloilo Building Perspective was unveiled during the MOA signing.

PMVI is the local partner of UPMC in building the P600 Million medical facility located just close behind Plazuela de Iloilo (before the Iloilo Scholastic Academy) in Mandurriao. The building facility will be built by Ayala Land Corporation with the groundbreaking slated sometime in January 2012.

UPMC is a multi-specialty outpatient facility in Manila designed as a one-stop center catering to the private ambulatory clientele of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). It is owned by the Mercado Ambulatory and Surgical Centers, Inc. (MASCI) a subsidiary of the Daniel O. Mercado Medical Clinic (DMMC).

Meanwhile, UPMC-Iloilo is envisioned to be the only Short Stay Specialty Hospital / Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) facility of its kind in the region. It represents the future of healthcare which combines expert care and advanced diagnostics in a pleasant, relaxing environment at affordable cost.

This is another medical milestone for the healthcare industry in Iloilo.
