| March 29, 2012 | 1 Comment

Ilonggo Cuisine is truly one of the most interesting and exciting culinary creations in the country to feast your palate on. And that’s definitely the main reason why the Sooo Pinoy team chose Iloilo for the first leg of their nationwide food tour, the Unilever Food Solutions’ Sooo Pinoy: “Food Trip Na, Pilipinas!” Tour.

Sooo Pinoy Food Tour Iloilo-Boracay Leg

The year-round food tour officially kicked off in Iloilo last March 12 to 14, 2012. It was followed by its Boracay leg held March 14 to 16.

Unilever Food Solutions (UFS), the food service arm of Unilever Philippines works hand in hand with the Department Of Tourism (DOT) for the Sooo Pinoy movement. The Sooo Pinoy team will be going to different places in the Philippines to sample the best culinary delicacies each region has to offer. It is the biggest food tour in the country with over 200 restaurants in 10 major destinations.

UFS is an expert in the culinary industry. It works with customers as well as caterers, restaurateurs and major hotel and fast-food chains in creating food solutions that help grow their business. Basically, they partner with food businesses by providing them products and services for their business needs.

Few years back, UFS launched the Sooo Pinoy campaign with an advocacy in promoting the rich culinary diversity of Filipino Cuisine. The primary objective is to raise the bar for Filipino cuisine and elevate its status to the same level as Japanese, Thai and other well-known cuisine around the world.
