Last Sunday, The Avenue Complex in Smallville had a fine revelry of food to celebrate the biggest event for dads – the Father’s Day. Dubbed as the biggest Barbeque Party in Iloilo, The Avenue showcased the specialties of each restaurant within the complex that include Amalfi Cucina Italiana, Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine, Mojave Grill and Steak House and Nothing But Desserts.
It was the first ever buffet dining prepared by The Avenue and it was really grand because of the wide selections of food with at least 7 buffet stations and the striking fiesta-like ambience that entails a great soiree. I personally liked the well-groomed buffet tables in each station and of course the scrumptious food in it. The dining was held at the landscaped al fresco at the center of the complex.
The grilled fares include Sausages, salmon, prawns, pork, tenderloin etc. You can have them sizzling straight off the grill.
The buffet priced at P399 exclusive of the drink of course was a good deal not to mention the cool ambience while dining al fresco and the great choices in the menu; of course, the foods taste great too. Surprisingly, there was a good response from the Ilonggos craving for gourmet buffets, in which I think the city needs such more. I suppose this is a jumpstart for The Avenue to hold regular buffet meals; anyway, there is still ample space at The Venue function rooms at the second floor.
